Often times, we find ourselves getting tired of doing the little things. We get tired of doing the mundane things that seem like they don’t matter. We can feel like what we do is irrelevant to the world and to those that we love the most.
None of us are far from these feelings, but today I want to encourage you. I want you to think past the here and now. I want you to look into the future. Look into a time when all of your little things add up and they have become something big to someone.
My grandmother used to send me one birthday card a year. This was something small, but special. As a young child, my mother and I had moved away from our family, but this one thing kept me connected in more ways that she could ever imagine.
When I became an adult and my husband and I moved away, because of his career, I remembered that I was loved, as I received a card from my grandmother.
Today, she is no longer with us, but her small things added up to be something big to me.
That’s one of the reasons why I am telling you this. I don’t want you to look at the things that you do as too small to matter. I want you to realize that everything that you do matters to someone. In the long run, all of your little things will add up to one big thing for someone.
SO… keep on going. Don’t quit! Don’t stop.
Just keep on doing the little things.
