This week, we are focusing on preparing our systems to crush our goals. In order to do this, you must remain focused on what you want to do and how you are going to do it. You can’t get side tracked. This is why we are affirming to stay focused this week. It’s not that multitasking is bad. It’s just that multitasking can take your attention away from the thing that you are wanting to accomplish. When your attention is divided, you don’t give yourself to what you are currently working on. You can easily make mistakes or miss something. Not only that. You aren’t pouring yourself, fully, into the project, the activity, or the relationship at hand. Therefore something always ends up missing. That something is a part of you.
I want you to take a moment to think about this. I’m not saying that you can’t ever multitask again. I am just suggesting that for the time being, you decide to focus your thoughts, energy, and your efforts.
So, say this out loud. “I will remain focused on the task at hand. I will not attempt to multitask. I will concentrate on what is in front of me at the moment, in the moment.”
I hope that you find this helpful and actually try to do it. One of the worst things is to work hard at something and not have it work out the way that you want. Only to learn that if you had really applied yourself 100% you would have gotten your desired result.
